Watch With A Vroom
Three years ago leading aeronautical watchmaker Bell & Ross collaborated with the British team at Shaw Harley-Davidson Speed & Custom. The result: the Nascafe Racer, a motorcycle which travelled a grand world tour winning prizes. This year the dynamic duo went on with the even more emblematic concept bike, B-Rocket, a jet-nosed hybrid between a airplane and a motorcycle inspired by the first jet planes secretly designed in the US in the 1960s. Now Bell & Ross releases two watches with the same theme: BR 01-94 B-Rocket as the ultimate watch for drivers, and the more elaborate BR 03-90 B-Rocket. The former is housed in a 46 mm case in stainless steel. It has a chronograph and three displays to keep the driver (wearer) updated. The latter in 42 mm has a large date counter and a fuel gauge inspired power-reserve indicator. What these both monochrome and masculine designed items share is the heart warming, red triangle at 12 o’ clock – and the strap in padded black calfskin.
