Three cheers for Frédérique Con­stant, which is cel­e­brat­ing a very happy new year after re­port­ing record sales fig­ures for the first half of 2014. Year-on-year growth com­pared to the same pe­riod in 2013 shows a spec­tac­u­lar 26 per cent spike. The brand, whose propo­si­tion is ’Ac­ces­si­ble Lux­ury’, aims to “cre­ate Swiss Made, high qual­ity and in­no­va­tive watches at sen­si­ble prices,” says Peter Stas, founder and CEO of Frédérique Con­stant. He adds: “We have seen a sig­nif­i­cant in­crease in ac­tiv­ity across most of our re­gions in 2014. With our Ac­ces­si­ble Lux­ury po­si­tion­ing, we have been gain­ing mar­ket share in the US$ 1,000 to 5,000 seg­ment. Frédérique Con­stant grew strongly in Ja­pan, South Korea, Aus­tralia United States and Canada.” The brand’s win­ning strat­egy in­cludes new launches sim­i­lar as the In­dex Au­to­matic Pair col­lec­tion, a com­pet­i­tively priced range aimed at cou­ples that fea­tures a men’s and women’s watch iden­ti­cally styled in stain­less steel and yel­low gold.
