At SIHH, Jaeger-LeCoultre shared its fascination with the movements of the heavenly bodies, which serve as ideal sources of inspiration for expressing its wide-ranging savoir-faire. Among its newly launched high complications dedicated to the measurement of astronomical time and its three moon-phase timepieces, the Rendez-Vous Moon stands out as the brand is currently excelling in the field of women’s watches. Five years ago, Jaeger-LeCoultre decided to dedicate a larger part of its creativity to women and formally launched its newest ladies’ collection with day-night, celestial or tourbillon functions, Rendez-Vous, and it has proven extremely popular. The Rendez-Vous is the first time the brand created a watch family just for women, as previously they had to choose from ladies’ models of its men’s ranges. This iconic feminine line has always showcased serious complications like a perpetual calendar or tourbillon, and last year, saw the brand’s first minute repeater for women: the Rendez-Vous Ivy Minute Repeater. Now the moon phase dominates the dial with a mother-of-pearl moon disc set within a deep blue sky revealing the constellations and sprinkled with cabochon-cut diamonds representing the stars. Powered by the new automatic Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 935 with 43-hour power reserve, the moon phase is designed to remain accurate for 972 years instead of the standard one that shows a one-day deviation every two and a half years. In a 36mm or 39mm white gold case, the timepiece features two crowns: one for adjusting the time and moon phase, the other for guiding the moving star on the edge of the dial, which the wearer can set to a time of her choice to remind her of a secret rendezvous.
