What does Baselworld mean to you personally and professionally, and how do you prepare for it?
Baselworld is the annual kick-off for the year ahead and it’s always extremely important to gauge reactions from our customers when we present a new collection. We start preparation the year before on the new collection, marketing message, stand design, planning everything. Once Baselworld starts, all is in place due to the hard work of almost everybody at the company, especially the Communication Department. The days in Basel themselves are always hectic and exciting at the same time.
What is one of your favourite memories from any of the previous Baselworld fairs?
Our annual Distributor Dinners are always a highlight in Basel. We organise this event every year on Sunday evening, so right in the middle of Baselworld. 200 of our best customers join an evening with music, good food, laughter and the very important Awards Ceremony, during which we announce and celebrate winning customers for the year.
