Iran Green Film Fes­ti­val names win­ners

The Sixth Iran In­ter­na­tional Green Film Fes­ti­val (IIGFF6) wound up in a cer­e­mony af­ter nam­ing the win­ners of the event which held from Septem­ber 9 to 15 in Tehran and sev­eral other prov­inces.

Over 800 art­works were sub­mit­ted to the cinema sec­tion of the IIGFF6, IRNA re­ported.

Ac­cord­ing to IIGFF6, more than 524 do­mes­tic and 278 for­eign art­works from 43 coun­tries were sub­mit­ted to the cinema sec­tion of Iran’s largest en­vi­ron­men­tal cin­e­matic event.

The high­est num­ber of en­tries came from the US, France, Italy, Spain, Mex­ico, Canada, UK, Brazil, Ger­many and Rus­sia re­spec­tively.

Ira­nian movies sub­mit­ted to the fes­ti­val from prov­inces and cities na­tion­wide in­cluded short, fea­ture, ex­per­i­men­tal and an­i­ma­tion films.

The fes­ti­val is con­sid­ered the fore­most cul­tural event fo­cus­ing on en­vi­ron­men­tal pro­tec­tion in the Mid­dle East.

The se­lected films com­peted in fea­ture fic­tion, short fic­tion, long doc­u­men­tary, short doc­u­men­tary, an­i­ma­tions and ex­per­i­men­tal sec­tions.
