Ira­nian-ital­ian art­works on view

An art ex­hi­bi­tion ‘Mem­ory and Ob­ject’, fea­tur­ing the works of 14 Ira­nian and Ital­ian artists, is un­der­way at Italy’s Cer­tosa of Capri. Or­ga­nized by Iran’s Art Cen­ter and Italy’s Garuzzo In­sti­tute for Vis­ual Arts, the fourth edi­tion of the ex­hi­bi­tion will con­tinue un­til Septem­ber 31, honaron­ re­ported.

Seven Ira­nian artists and seven Ital­ian artists have put their art­works on dis­play to an­a­lyze the past and the present and even­tu­ally boost cul­tural ties.

Head of Art Cen­ter gal­leries Vahid Malek said that Iran and Italy are the man­i­fes­ta­tions of Western and East­ern civ­i­liza­tions, adding, “Both coun­tries have a lot of com­mon­al­i­ties which are even il­lus­trated in the col­ors of the two coun­tries’ flags.”

Ros­alba Garouzzo, founder of the Garuzzo In­sti­tute for Vis­ual Arts stated that the ex­hi­bi­tion is ver­ily an in­stance of co­op­er­a­tion be­tween two coun­tries with dif­fer­ent fea­tures un­der the name of art and cul­ture.

Ira­nian artists whose works are on dis­play at the event are Alireza Saa­dat­mand, Firoozeh Akhlaqi, Mo­ham­mad-hadi Fa­davi, Shahram Karimi, Alireza Karim­pour, Sa­har Salehi and Amir-bakhtiar San­jabi.

The Ital­ian artists in­clude After­all, Afil­ippo Cen­te­nari, Fabrizio Co­tognini, Pamela Dia­man­ter, Pier­paolo Lista, Gio­vannj Ter­mini and Ciro Vi­tale.
