17 countries to take part in Digital Media contest
Artists from 17 countries will participate in the 4th International Cartoon Contest, ‘Digital Media’, slated to be held in East Azarbaijan from May 5 to 10.
Artists from Algeria, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Macedonia, Peru, Poland, Serbia, Syria, Montenegro, the US and Ukraine have so far submitted works to the secretariat of the event , Head of Tabriz cartoonist association Rahim Baqqal-asghari told reporters, ifilmtv. ir reported.
The event has been organized as part of the program to mark Tabriz 2018, he said.
The most important topics of the contest are: Internet, social networking, gaming and digital entertainment, cellphones, computers, digital lifestyles, content sharing, kids and online and privacy, Baqqal-asghari added.
All artists as well as cartoonists, caricaturists, painters, illustrators, are welcome to submit their entries before April 9.
Some of the selected works will be printed in a brochure, on posters, in the world press or other printed matter, bringing further exposure for eager artists.
Awards are bestowed upon winners of the event, with a cash endowment as part of the package.
