German association keen on strong presence in Iran market
German Machine Tool Builders’ Association (VDW) voiced its readiness to remain active in the Iranian market and expand trade with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Speaking at a press conference on Iran Machine Tools Exhibition (AMB Iran 2018) in Tehran, VDW Executive Director Wilfried Schäfer said that the international community should think of a solution for restoring global order and countering the US sanctions, IRNA reported.
He added that the AMB Iran 2018 is organized by Messe Stuttgart, a German trade fair organizer and VDW, adding that they are waiting for upcoming EU political stance to be announced next week to continue activities in Iran.
Referring to the ‘unbalanced and unclear’ US behavior at the global level, he anticipated that the EU is keen on supporting Iran.
AMB Iran 2018 is slated to be held in Tehran from June 26-29.
So far several companies from Iran, Germany, Italy, France, The Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, China, Taiwan, Japan, Czech and Russia have voiced their willingness to take part in the exhibition.
AMB Iran is the first internationally recognized trade fair for metal cutting that is taking place in Iran after the lifting of sanctions following the conclusion of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.
AMB Iran puts on display the latest developments in machine tools, precision tools, automation and relevant periphery for metal machining.
