Nobakht: Iran plans to bypass sanctions

Iran Daily - - National -

Head of Iran’s Plan and Budget Organization Mohammad Baqer Nobakht said on Saturday that the country has devised a “comprehensive plan” to counter the sanctions and is ready to circumvent them.

Nobakht said all Iranian organizations should cooperate to deal with the sanctions against the Islamic Republic, Tasnim News Agency reported.

Deploring foreign-based think tanks that monitor the situation in Iran to nullify Tehran’s plans, Nobakht said such actions could never damage the Iranian administration’s morale, adding, “We will bypass the sanctions.”

He said Iran has prepared a comprehensive plan to deal with the sanctions, pointing to plans to regulate the currency market and to create jobs.

The administration could allocate $1 billion to save jobs and create new job opportunities, he added, saying the Plan and Budget Organization has plans to counter the sanctions by supporting manufacturers.

US President Donald Trump withdrew Washington in May from the landmark Iran nuclear agreement, reached between Iran and the P5+1 group of countries in 2015, and decided to reimpose unilateral sanctions against Tehran.

Under the deal, Iran undertook to put limits on its nuclear program in exchange for the removal of nuclear-related sanctions.
