Er­do­gan to Visit Iran on Oct. 4

TEHRAN (MNA) – Turk­ish Pres­i­dent Re­cep Tayyip Er­do­gan is slated for an of­fi­cial visit to Tehran on Oc­to­ber 4 to hold talks on bi­lat­eral and re­gional is­sues with Ira­nian se­nior of­fi­cials, ac­cord­ing to Turk­ish me­dia.

In an in­ter­view with a Turk­ish news chan­nel on Fri­day, Pres­i­dent Er­do­gan an­nounced his up­com­ing visit to Tehran to be sched­uled for Oc­to­ber 4, adding “we have close re­la­tions with Iran, and dur­ing the trip, I will dis­cuss is­sues on ter­ror­ism, the pres­ence of ter­ror­ists in Qandil Moun­tains, and other im­por­tant is­sues re­gard­ing bi­lat­eral and re­gional de­vel­op­ments.”

Stress­ing that the two sides will con­tinue the ex­change of vis­its, Pres­i­dent Er­do­gan an­nounced that Iran-Tur­key’s joint eco­nomic com­mis­sion’s meet­ing will be held dur­ing his visit to Tehran. “Prior to my trip, Chief of the Gen­eral Staff Hu­lusi Akar will travel to Tehran to hold talks with Ira­nian of­fi­cials,” he said.
