AJOF Sets Up Agriculture Industries Headquarters
TEHRAN – Agriculture Jihad Organization of Fars Province set up the agriculture industries headquarters to boost non-agricultural incomes in the province.
According to reports, the CEO of the AJOF Mr. Mohammad Mehdi Qasemi said that one of the best ways to boost occupation creation and non-agricultural incomes in the rural areas is to create or to expand convertible and complementary industries of rural industries and agriculture, adding that convertible and complementary industry is the most effective way to reduce agricultural wastes.
Qasemi reiterated that expansion of inversion and complementary industries has been on the agenda for developing and planning of rural issues in the recent decades due to the increase in the agricultural wastes.
He said that 590 projects with nominal capacity of 2.9m tons and fixed capital of 585b tomans with job creation for 7709 people have been implemented.
He reiterated that Fars Province ranks third in the country for putting on stream the number of units and its agricultural products processing capacity as well as attracting the raw material. Qasemi said that the volume of exports resulted from the convertible industries was tripled last year as the products were mainly exported to Iraq, China, Vietnam, Germany, Hong Kong, France, the UAE, Canada, Syria, Russia, Qatar, Turkey, Romania, Bahrain, Belgium, Oman, Macedonia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bulgaria and Tajikistan.
