Iran, Oman to Step Up IT Co­op­er­a­tion

TEHRAN (MNA) – Fol­low­ing the visit of an Ira­nian delegation of knowl­edge-based com­pa­nies to Oman, the two coun­tries reached agree­ment to ex­pand bi­lat­eral co­op­er­a­tion in in­for­ma­tion tech­nol­ogy.

Last week, a trade delegation headed by Ali Morteza Bi­rang, Deputy for In­ter­na­tional Co­op­er­a­tion of the Of­fice of Vice-Pres­i­dency for Science and Tech­nol­ogy, and com­pris­ing ten knowl­edge-based com­pa­nies ac­tive in telecom­mu­ni­ca­tion and in­for­ma­tion tech­nol­ogy, vis­ited Oman at the of­fi­cial in­vi­ta­tion of head of the Re­search Coun­cil of Oman as the coun­try’s high­est-rank­ing tech­nol­ogy institute.

Ac­cord­ing to Bi­rang, the three-day visit had a spe­cial fo­cus on two key is­sues in­clud­ing the hold­ing of the sec­ond ses­sion of a joint tech­nol­ogy work­ing group with the Re­search Coun­cil of Oman in which the pre­vi­ous agree­ments were dis­cussed and pur­sued.
