Zarif, Mahiga Call for Joint Eco­nomic Co­op­er­a­tion

TEHRAN (MNA) – Min­istry of For­eign Af­fairs and In­ter­na­tional Co­op­er­a­tion of Tan­za­nia, Au­gus­tine Mahiga, met and talked with Ira­nian FM Mo­ham­mad Javad Zarif in Tehran.

Mahiga of Tan­za­nia, who is on an of­fi­cial visit to Tehran, met and talked with Mo­ham­mad Javad Zarif, Iran’s Min­is­ter of For­eign Af­fairs on Wednesday morn­ing.

Ac­cord­ingly, the two sides mulled over venues for ex­pan­sion and devel­op­ment of bi­lat­eral re­la­tions be­tween Tehran and Dodoma, in­clud­ing in bank­ing, tourism, con­sular, sci­en­tific, tech­nol­ogy, wa­ter and en­ergy fields.

Zarif and Mahiga also ex­changed views on ways to bol­ster joint trans­ac­tions in eco­nomic and trade are­nas; they also called for ac­cel­er­a­tion of form­ing an eco­nomic com­mis­sion be­tween the two coun­tries.

They also dis­cussed global and regional is­sues and called for bi­lat­eral co­op­er­a­tion in in­ter­na­tional or­ga­ni­za­tions and com­mu­ni­ties

Au­gus­tine Mahiga, for his part, wel­comed the ex­pan­sion of ties in var­i­ous sec­tors of pol­i­tics, econ­omy, sci­ence and cul­ture.
