Iran, EU Up Food Trade by 94%

FARS* - Food trade ex­changes be­tween Iran and the Euro­pean Union have in­creased con­sid­er­ably over the last two years, Head of EU’s Agri­cul­ture and Ru­ral De­vel­op­ment Com­mis­sion Phil Ho­gan an­nounced.

“Iran-EU trade bal­ance has in­creased by 94 per­cent,” Ho­gan said.

He re­it­er­ated that Tehran and the EU will have pros­per­ous co­op­er­a­tion in the fu­ture.

Ho­gan said that the EU is de­ter­mined to con­tinue its eco­nomic in­ter­ac­tions with Iran within the JCPOA frame­work and the vis­it­ing mis­sion is hop­ing to in­crease bi­lat­eral ties to the ben­e­fit of both sides.

Ho­gan, lead­ing a 70-mem­ber del­e­ga­tion from 19 Euro­pean coun­tries is in the Ira­nian cap­i­tal to ex­plore ways to en­hance bi­lat­eral re­la­tions be­tween the EU and Tehran.
