Tehran, Kiev Discuss Expanding of Parliamentary Ties
TEHRAN (FNA) - Chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi and Ukrainian Parliament Speaker Andriy Parubiy in a meeting in Kiev discussed broadening of parliamentary relations.
During the meeting in the Ukrainian capital on Monday, Boroujerdi and Parubiy explored avenues for bolstering and reinvigorating mutual cooperation between the two countries’ parliaments.
Boroujerdi, heading a high-ranking parliamentary delegation, arrived in Kiev on Monday to hold talks with senior Ukrainian parliamentary officials.
Boroujerdi is visiting Ukraine at the invitation of his Ukrainian counterpart and is scheduled to hold talks with Ukrainian Parliament Speaker Andriy Parubiy and Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin.
During his stay in Kiev, Boroujerdi is to meet with head of national security and foreign policy committee of parliament, head of Ukraine-Iran parliamentary friendship group and some other Ukrainian officials.
