Iran to Manufacture Paper From Calcium Carbonate
TEHRAN - Iran’s administration has approved a project to manufacture paper from calcium carbonate.
Industrial Development & Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO), a major government-owned conglomerate will invest in the project, which will have a capacity to produce 20,000 tons of paper per year, IDRO said.
The project will be implemented in Kharameh county, located in southern Iranian province of Fars.
The project is aimed to protect environment and saving trees as well as creating jobs in less developed areas of the country.
The raw materials, which will be used for paper manufacturing plant are available across the country, according to the report.
