Iran Re­ceives Black Box Data of Sanchi

TASNIM* - The black box data of the Ira­nian oil tanker “Sanchi” that sank in the East China Sea ear­lier this month af­ter burn­ing for eight days was de­liv­ered to Iran’s Ports and Mar­itime Or­ga­ni­za­tion, the deputy head of the or­ga­ni­za­tion an­nounced.

Hadi Haqshenas said the data of the black boxes of Sanchi and the Chi­nese ves­sel, CF Crys­tal, that col­lided with it as well as the in­ter­views con­ducted with the crewmem­bers of the ves­sel have been re­ceived by Iran’s Ports and Mar­itime Or­ga­ni­za­tion.

He added that the in­for­ma­tion is planned to be used and dis­cussed in spe­cial­ized com­mit­tees to ex­am­ine the rea­son be­hind the tragic in­ci­dent.

Sanchi, with 32 peo­ple on board, col­lided with the Chi­nese freight ship in the East China Sea on Jan­uary 6 and sank af­ter burn­ing for eight days.
