Ira­nian, Viet­namese Speak­ers Dis­cuss Is­sues of Mu­tual In­ter­est

TEHRAN (IRNA) - The speaker of Ma­jlis (Ira­nian Par­lia­ment) Ali Lar­i­jani vis­ited Chair­man of Na­tional As­sem­bly of Viet­nam Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan in Hanoi on Mon­day to talk about ex­pan­sion of ties. ‘Iran and Viet­nam’s views on is­sues are iden­ti­cal,’ said Lar­i­jani. ‘Viet­nam has gained in­de­pen­dence in a long fight for it, so I vis­ited the tomb of Ho Chí Minh, Viet­nam’s leader of Revo­lu­tion,’ said Lar­i­jani, re­fer­ring to the his­tory of Viet­nam’s strug­gle against U.S. imperialism. He also vis­ited Ho Chí Minh’s house and signed his com­mem­o­ra­tion book. A group of Ira­nian par­lia­ment mem­bers ac­com­pa­nied Lar­i­jani on the visit. The Ira­nian par­lia­men­tary del­e­ga­tion will later leave Viet­nam for Sri Lanka.
