1) Heat few splash of vegetable oil in a medium frying pan over a medium heat, sauté the onions until they get slightly golden. Add the ham, sau- sage, garlic powder, salt and pepper, stirring frequently and set aside. (You can add some mushrooms and green bell peppers in case you like)
2) Rinse the pasta and set aside to cool down combine in with ham mix- ture, cheese and thyme powder.
3) Coat the inside bottom and sides of each cup in the cupcake pan using the butter, Spoon the prepared pasta mixture into the cupcake molds filling evenly to about 2/3 full. Top them with grated cheddar or mozzarella cheese.
4) Preheat the oven to 180°C, place the tray in the middle of the oven. Bake them until golden brown, about 15 to 20 minutes. Let it be cool for a few minutes and carefully unmold with a spoon onto a serving platter.
