Ira­nian ports’ load­ing, un­load­ing ca­pac­ity to reach 250m tons in 4 years

TEHRAN — Iran plans to in­crease the ca­pac­ity of its ports to reach 250 mil­lion tons by four years, IRNA re­ported quot­ing an of­fi­cial as say­ing.

Ac­cord­ing to the Head of Iran’s Ports and Mar­itime Or­ga­ni­za­tion (PMO) Mo­ham­mad Saei­d­ne­jad, the coun­try’s ports are cur­rently op­er­at­ing at a ca­pac­ity of 210 mil­lion tons.

The of­fi­cial noted that three ma­jor pro­jects are un­der­way at south­ern port of Shahid Ra­jaie which will be com­pleted by the end of Ira­nian cal­en­dar year of 1398 (March 2020).
