Iran, Oman dis­cuss con­fronting dust storm

Iran’s cul­tural at­tache to Oman Mo­ham­madreza Nouri Shahroudi and Oman Min­is­ter of En­vi­ron­ment and Cli­mate Af­fairs Mo­hammed bin Salim bin Said alToobi dis­cussed com­bat­ing dust storms dur­ing a meet­ing in Muscat on Tues­day. Iran is com­bat­ing dust storms in dif­fer­ent ways, how­ever it is a com­mon prob­lem in the re­gion, Shahroudi said dur­ing the meet­ing.

Omani min­is­ter also stressed on re­gional co­op­er­a­tion to pro­tect en­vi­ron­ment and abate dust storms.

Sand and dust storms mostly orig­i­nated from hotspots in Iraq, Saudi Ara­bia, Afghanistan, and Cen­tral Asia are ad­versely af­fect­ing Ira­nian cities ad­ja­cent to the afore­said ar­eas and caus­ing great dis­com­fort for the poor dweller.
