Scholars to hold sessions at Tehran short filmfest
TEHRAN — A number of Iranian and foreign scholars will hold sessions on the sidelines of the 34th Tehran International Short Film Festival, the organizers announced on Tuesday.
Polish filmmaker Andrej Bednarek and Estonian director Peter Murdmaa are among the scholars.
Gipsy Chang from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts is also another expert invited to the festival.
The Iranian cineastes include Rakhshan Bani-Etemad, Mehrdad Oskui, Shahram Mokri and Majid Barzegar.
Historian Mohammad Dehqani and film critic Saedi Aqiqi will also deliver speeches during the event.
The 34th Tehran International Short Film Festival will be running from October 17 to 22.
