Govt. waits Ma­jlis ap­proval to di­vide merged min­istries

TEHRAN — Vice Pres­i­dent for Par­lia­men­tary Af­fairs Hos­sein-Ali Amiri ex­pressed the hope that the par­lia­ment would soon ap­prove the new struc­ture of the gov­ern­ment, which would break up three min­istries of in­dus­try, mine and trade, trans­port and ur­ban de­vel­op­ment, and youth af­fairs and sports.

Speak­ing with Tas­nim on Mon­day, Amiri said, “We are very hope­ful that with God’s will, the Ma­jlis would ap­prove the new struc­ture and pass it to the gov­ern­ment for im­ple­men­ta­tion.”

He also said the par­lia­ment has pro­posed the es­tab­lish­ment of Min­istry of Cul­tural Her­itage, Tourism and Hand­i­crafts, which is under con­sid­er­a­tion.
