FINEX 2018 host­ing near 400 com­pa­nies in Tehran

TEHRAN — The 11th edi­tion of Iran’s In­ter­na­tional Ex­hi­bi­tion of Ex­change, Bank and In­sur­ance (FINEX 2018) kicked off at the Tehran Per­ma­nent In­ter­na­tional Fair­ground on Mon­day with par­tic­i­pa­tion of 392 Ira­nian and for­eign com­pa­nies.

The in­au­gu­ral cer­e­mony of the event was at­tended by Ira­nian Vice Pres­i­dent for Sci­ence and Tech­nol­ogy Sorena Sat­tari, Head of Iran’s Se­cu­ri­ties and Ex­change Or­ga­ni­za­tion (SEO) Shapour Mo­ham­madi and a num­ber of se­nior of­fi­cials of the coun­try’s fi­nan­cial and bank­ing or­ga­ni­za­tions, IRNA re­ported.

Com­pa­nies from Iraq, Oman, Tur­key, United Araba Emi­rates (UAE), Switzer­land, Swe­den, Britain and Rus­sia are present in the ex­hibit which will run un­til Thurs­day.

The third edi­tion of Iran’s Fin­stars (Fin­stars2018) is also held on the side­lines of FINEX 2018.

Fin­stars is a se­ries of fi­nan­cial events that brings to­gether fin­tech star­tups and fin­tech ex­perts to meet Iran’s tech­no­log­i­cal needs of the fi­nan­cial mar­kets and share in­no­va­tive ideas on fin­tech, Iran Fara Bourse Com­pany (IFB) an­nounced.

Pan­els and work­shops mainly fo­cus­ing on ex­pe­ri­ences of the suc­cess­ful teams at Fin­stars2016 and Fin­stars2017 will be held in the event for cre­at­ing a plat­form to change good ideas into real star­tups.

Ad­dress­ing the in­au­gu­ral cer­e­mony of FINEX 2018, Sorena Sat­tari put the coun­try’s star­tups in­come at 600 tril­lion ri­als (about $14.28 bil­lion) in the past Ira­nian cal­en­dar year (ended on March 20).
