1,100 kilo­me­ters of free­ways in­au­gu­rated in a year

TEHRAN — About 1,100 kilo­me­ters of free­ways were in­au­gu­rated in Iran dur­ing the pat Ira­nian cal­en­dar year (ended on March 20), ac­cord­ing to Kheirol­lah Khademi, the man­ag­ing di­rec­tor of Iran’s Con­struc­tion and De­vel­op­ment of Trans­porta­tion In­fra­struc­tures Com­pany (CDTIC).

On March 10, CDTIC had signed 25 tril­lion ri­als (about $595.2 mil­lion) worth of deals with the pri­vate sec­tor for joint con­struc­tion of 439 kilo­me­ters of free­ways across the coun­try.

Ac­cord­ing to Khademi, do­mes­tic in­vestors are go­ing to fi­nance the con­struc­tion of six free­ways which were the sub­ject of the inked deals.
