An­cient relics seized in Ilam

TEHRAN – Ira­nian au­thor­i­ties have con­fis­cated sev­eral cen­turies-old ob­jects in west­ern Ilam prov­ince, CHTN re­ported on Mon­day.

“The po­lice has seized 13 ar­ti­facts that in­clude coins, beads and rings made of gold, sil­ver, bronze and glass, some of which date from the (early) Is­lamic era,” said Ab­dol­malek Shan­be­hzadeh, the pro­vin­cial tourism chief.

The his­tor­i­cal ob­jects have re­cently been handed over to Ilam’s of­fice of the Cul­tural Her­itage, Hand­i­crafts and Tourism Or­ga­ni­za­tion, the of­fi­cial added.
