Sar­madi holds high-level meet­ings in Ta­jik­istan

TEHRAN — Ira­nian Deputy For­eign Min­is­ter Morteza Sar­madi met with Ta­jik For­eign Min­is­ter Sirod­jidin Mukhridi­novich Aslov in Dushanbe on Thurs­day.

Dur­ing the meet­ing which was held on the side­lines of the Shang­hai Co­op­er­a­tion Or­ga­ni­za­tion (SCO) Sum­mit, Sar­madi and Aslov ex­plored av­enues for bol­ster­ing and rein­vig­o­rat­ing re­la­tions.

The Ta­jik for­eign min­is­ter pointed to the con­struc­tive vis­its by se­nior Ira­nian of­fi­cials to his coun­try over past months and called for ex­pand­ing re­la­tions in dif­fer­ent sec­tors.

Dur­ing his visit to Dushanbe, Sar­madi also met with Ta­jik En­ergy Min­is­ter Os­man Ali Os­man­zadeh, who heads the Ta­jik­istan-Iran eco­nomic com­mis­sion.

Os­man­zadeh lauded Ira­nian com­pa­nies’ ac­tiv­i­ties in Ta­jik­istan, in­clud­ing those in­volved in build­ing a power plant.
