Ah­madine­jad aide handed 91 days im­pris­on­ment

TEHRAN — Ali Ak­bar Ja­van­fekr, an aide to for­mer Pres­i­dent Mah­moud Ah­madine­jad, has been sen­tenced to 91 days in prison for dis­obey­ing the ju­di­cial and law en­force­ment au­thor­i­ties.

Ja­van­fekr said on Sun­day that the prison sen­tence was handed to him by the court of state em­ploy­ees and was later con­firmed by the court of ap­peal, IRNA re­ported.

Back in Septem­ber, Gho­lam Hos­sein Es­maili, head of Tehran Prov­ince’s Ju­di­ciary, said for­mer pres­i­den­tial chief of staff Es­fan­diar Rahim Mashaei and Ja­van­fekr were handed down 5 and 4 years in prison re­spec­tively on charges of con­spir­acy to com­mit crimes against na­tional se­cu­rity.
