“I have no ob­jec­tion to visit any place in the world where I can gain achieve­ments for my peo­ple ”

The Kur­dis­tan Re­gion Pres­i­dent, Ma­soud Barzani states that he is ready to visit any place in the world where there are achieve­ments for peo­ple of Kur­dis­tan. "If I knew my visit to Bagh­dad is fruit­ful, I would cer­tainly do it" says Barzani, won­der­ing what guar­an­tees are given for pre­serv­ing Kur­dish rights if he vis­ited Bagh­dad

Ac­cord­ing 'Kur­dis­tani Nwe', a Sile­mani based news­pa­per; Barzani's state­ment comes af­ter a let­ter from one of the cousins of the Iraqi pres­i­dent, Jalal Tal­a­bani was pub­lished in an ear­lier is­sue of the pa­per, ask­ing Barzani to take an ini­tia­tive for his­tory, so that no one claims Kur­dish peo­ple can­not rule them­selves, As the let­ter stated.

In his let­ter, he also asked Barzani to head for Bagh­dad and not re­turn to Er­bil till all prob­lems are solved. " I know this ini­tia­tive will make you a greater man, which is to visit Bagh­dad as the Pres­i­dent of Kur­dis­tan Re­gion and state that you'll stay there and not come back to Er­bil un­til all the prob­lems are solved" Aras Shex Jengi stated in the let­ter to Barzani.

As a re­sponse to Aras' let­ter, Barzani stated that ev­ery­one knows how many times he went to Bagh­dad, and they agreed on many things that were in fa­vor of Kur­dis­tan and po­lit­i­cal process in Iraq, "But they didn't re­spect their sig­na­ture and turned their back to the pledges" stated Barzani, In­sist­ing that he has no ob­jec­tion to visit any place in the world where he could gain achieve­ments for peo­ple of Kur­dis­tan. "What are the guar­an­tees that if I went to Bagh­dad, the prob­lems would be solved?" won­dered Barzani.
