John Kerry hopes to work on com­mon in­ter­ests with Pres­i­dent Barzani

The U.S. Sec­re­tary of State John Kerry has sent a let­ter to the Kur­dis­tan Re­gion’s pres­i­dent, ex­press­ing in­ter­est and hopes of co­op­er­at­ing to­gether to de­velop com­mon in­ter­ests.

In his let­ter, Kerry val­ues and ap­pre­ci­ates Barzani’s sup­port and en­cour­age­ment. “I hope we work to­gether to de­velop com­mon in­ter­ests and sup­port build­ing pros­per­ous fu­ture where peace and free­dom are guar­an­teed” U.S sec­re­tary of State said. The short let­ter reads, Thank you for your con­grat­u­lat­ing let­ter. I value and ap­pre­ci­ate your sup­port and en­cour­age­ment and hope to work to­gether to solve the con­flicts and changes tak­ing place in the world to­day. While I'm tak­ing of­fice as Sec­re­tary of State, I hope that we can work to­gether to de­velop com­mon in­ter­ests and sup­port build­ing a pros­per­ous fu­ture where peace and free­dom are guar­an­teed.
