Kur­dis­tan’s Foot­ball Team Com­petes In Mar­seille

the teams that are sup­posed to par­tic­i­pate in the com­pe­ti­tion in­clude: Cat­alo­nia, Provence, Tebit, Ladak, Na­ga­land, Zin­jibar, Bri­tang, Laponi, Ende, Bondikere, and Bri­anj.

The 12 teams will be di­vided in to three groups; each group with four teams. The group matches will run on June 23 last­ing for four days. The semi­fi­nal games will run on 26-27 June and the fi­nal match on 29 June.

Kur­dis­tan's team has taken part in sev- eral com­pe­ti­tions pre­vi­ously, in­clud­ing Nakba Cham­pi­onship in Pales­tine, and VIVA World Cup, which is an in­ter­na­tional foot­ball tour­na­ment or­ga­nized by the NF Board, an um­brella as­so­ci­a­tion for na­tions un­af­fil­i­ated with FIFA. The Kur­dis­tan Re­gion has taken part in VIVA World Cup four times. In 2008, Kur­dis­tan se­cured fourth place, but went on to be­come run­ners-up in 2009 and 2010 and even­tu­ally hosted and won the ti­tle in 2012.
