9000 Ba­bies Born in Four Months in Irbil

Ac­cord­ing to sta­tis­tics from Irbil Birth and Teach­ing Hos­pi­tal, 9424 ba­bies were born dur­ing the last four months, 6064 of them by surgery

The head of statis­tic depart­ment in Birth and Teach­ing Hos­pi­tal in Irbil, Ka­jal Shakir ex­plained that dur­ing the last four months 9,424 ba­bies were born, from which 3360 were nat­u­ral birth di­vided into 1,830 boys and 1,530 girls.

Ac­cord­ing to Ka­jal, 6,064 chil­dren were born by surgery in the hos­pi­tal, 3,034 of them were boys and 3.030 girls.

The head of statis­tic depart­ment in the hos­pi­tal men­tioned that 270 twins were born in their hos­pi­tal and 98 chil­dren were born dead. Ac­cord­ing to the reg­is­tered sta­tis­tics of Birth and Teach­ing Hos­pi­tal, dur­ing those four months, 15,874 women have vis­ited their hos­pi­tal in­clud­ing 13,948 have stayed for get­ting nec­es­sary treat­ment.

Last year, 26,600 ba­bies were born, 17,885 nat­u­ral births from which 8,891 were girls and 8,994 were boys. At the same time 8,715 chil­dren were born by surgery in­clud­ing 4,122 girls and 4,593 boys.
