Turkey Of­fi­cially Al­lows Fri­day Ser­mons in Kur­dish

As re­sponse to a de­mand by Kur­dish re­li­gious schol­ars in Turkey, the Turk­ish govern­ment is to make at­tempts for al­low­ing Fri­day ser­mons to be given in Kur­dish lan­guage in mosques in Turkey.

Sun Haber web­site for news men­tioned that the Turk­ish Deputy of Prime Min­is­ter Bekir Bozdag has said in re­sponse to a Kur­dish MP's ques­tion that giv­ing ser­mons in Kur­dish lan­guage is a right of Kur­dish cit­i­zens, and for this pur­pose Turk­ish state is do­ing prepa­ra­tion to pro­pose a bill for free­dom of giv­ing ser­mons and prayers in Kur­dish lan­guage in Turkey's mosques.
