Al-Tah­whid abducts 40 Kurds in Aleppo

The Kur­dish cit­i­zen of Aleppo, a city in the north of Syria, have re­cently been tar­geted by the AlTawhid Brigade (Li­waa Al-Tawhid) amid gen­er­al­ized un­rest in the area.

Over the last few days, the group has kid­nap­ping 40 Kurds in the city’s Kur­dish neigh­bor­hoods.

The Ci­vat web­site states that two of the peo­ple ab­ducted by the group has now been set free, while around 40 other Kurds are still be­ing held.

The web­site in­di­cates that the 40 Kur­dish ab­ductees have been tor­tured.

The Al-Tawhid brigade is a unit of the Free Syr­ian Army which has mainly been en­gaged in the bat­tle for Aleppo.
