Barzani leaves Er­bil to­ward UAE and Kuwait

The Pres­i­dent of Kur­dis­tan Re­gion, Ma­soud Barzani, left Er­bil on Satur­day headed to the United Arab Emi­rates and Kuwait.

The spokesper­son of the Kur­dis­tani Re­gional Gov­ern­ment, Omeid Sabah, sated in a press state­ment “Barzani went on Satur­day morn­ing at the head of a del­e­ga­tion to visit all of the United Arab Emi­rates and Kuwait at the of­fi­cial in­vi­ta­tion , stress­ing that the visit take sev­eral days,” The state­ment of the spokesman for the re­gion’s pres­i­dency, Omed Sabah.

The state­ment did not men­tion files for which Barzani will dis­cuss with two Gulf lead­ers, but po­lit­i­cal ob­servers say that it is likely that they will dis­cuss the po­lit­i­cal sit­u­a­tion in Iraq and the Syr­ian cri­sis, win ad­di­tion to strength­en­ing eco­nomic re­la­tions be­tween Er­bil and both Abu Dhabi and Kuwait.

On the other hand, the head of Kur­dis­tan re­gion's For­eign Re­la­tions Depart­ment, Falah Mustafa, said that the Kur­dis­tan Pres­i­dent, Mas­soud Barzani, is to visit the United States on an of­fi­cial in­vi­ta­tion from the US Ad­min­is­tra­tion.

Barzani’s visit to the Gulf coun­tries and the USA comes im­me­di­ately af­ter the Iraqi Prime Min­is­ter, Nouri al-Ma­liki, ends his of­fi­cial visit to the USA.
