The Kurdish Globe - - FRONT PAGE -

According to a news report by the official website of the Kurdistan Region’s Presidency Office, Kurdish President Massoud Barzani met on Tuesday, April 15th, with Iyad Allawi, head of the Iraqiya Bloc, in Salahaddin.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the general political situation in the country as well as the critical situation in Anbar Province.

The tensions between Baghdad and Erbil and the upcoming parliamentary elections were other topics of the meeting.

Both parties were in agreement that the political process in Iraq has reached a deadlock and a radical change must be introduced in the country’s political landscape.

Allawi and his accompanying delegation asked Barzani to play his role in the upcoming changes in Iraq and try to bring back the political process on its right track.
