Kur­dis­tan par­tic­i­pates in Ara­bian Travel Mar­ket in Dubai

The Gen­eral Board of Tourism of the Kur­dis­tan Re­gional Govern­ment (KRG) par­tic­i­pated in the in­ter­na­tional ex­hi­bi­tion of Ara­bian Travel Mar­ket (ATM) in Dubai in 2014.

Spokesper­son for KRG’s Board of Tourism Nadir Rosti said that a team of 25 people with a su­per­vis­ing com­mit­tee from the Kur­dis- tan Board of Tourism have par­tic­i­pated in the ex­hi­bi­tion in Dubai where they ex­hib­ited Kur­dish films, maps, pho­to­graphs, pre­sents and Kur­dish tra­di­tional foods to the guests and vis­i­tors.

This was done un­der the flag of the Kur­dis­tan Re­gion and the par­tic­i­pants were all dressed in the tra­di­tional Kurd- ish clothes.

“The pur­pose of this par­tic­i­pa­tion is to at­tract more tourists and com­pa­nies to the Kur­dis­tan Re­gion and put Kur­dis­tan on the world map of tourism,” said Rosti.

Rosti said that on 7th May the KRG Gen­eral Board of Tourism will hold a con­fer­ence in Dubai, which al­most 200 com­pa­nies as well as lo­cal and in­ter­na­tional me­dia will at­tend.

In the ex­hi­bi­tion, which will lasts from 4th to 8th May, 16 tourism com­pa­nies, more than 3,500 world com­pa­nies with 2,600 stands will par­tic­i­pate to at­tract and in­vite tourists to their coun­tries.
