Kurdistan participates in Arabian Travel Market in Dubai
The General Board of Tourism of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) participated in the international exhibition of Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai in 2014.
Spokesperson for KRG’s Board of Tourism Nadir Rosti said that a team of 25 people with a supervising committee from the Kurdis- tan Board of Tourism have participated in the exhibition in Dubai where they exhibited Kurdish films, maps, photographs, presents and Kurdish traditional foods to the guests and visitors.
This was done under the flag of the Kurdistan Region and the participants were all dressed in the traditional Kurd- ish clothes.
“The purpose of this participation is to attract more tourists and companies to the Kurdistan Region and put Kurdistan on the world map of tourism,” said Rosti.
Rosti said that on 7th May the KRG General Board of Tourism will hold a conference in Dubai, which almost 200 companies as well as local and international media will attend.
In the exhibition, which will lasts from 4th to 8th May, 16 tourism companies, more than 3,500 world companies with 2,600 stands will participate to attract and invite tourists to their countries.
