In­vestors been of­fered $832 mil­lion-worth projects in Duhok

In the past few months, 81 projects in var­i­ous sec­tors have been car­ried out by in­vestors in Duhok, some of which are strate­gic projects that are ex­pected to de­velop the pub­lic trans­port sys­tem in the city.

Since the KRG put the In­vest­ment Law into ac­tion which is thought to have fa­cil­i­tated the work of in­vestors to a great ex­tent, in­vest­ment projects are on rise in the Kur­dis­tan Re­gion.

The Gen­eral Direc­torate of In­vest­ment in Duhok Prov­ince states that ac- cord­ing to the Kur­dis­tan Re­gion In­vest­ment Law, they’ve of­fered the in­vestors 81 projects from var­i­ous sec­tors of in­dus­try, trade, ed­u­ca­tion, tourism and sports dur­ing the last few months.

Falah Haji, head of the me­dia and pub­lic re­la­tions of the Direc­torate re­vealed they’ve li­censed 81 in­vest­ment projects worth $832 mil­lion.

Haji men­tioned that the most im­por­tant project which is to be started soon is the Duhok Ter­mi­nal Project in front of Evro City, in the cen­ter of the city, by Darin Group with the es­ti­mated sum of $351 mil­lion. The project is a pre­vi­ously planned strate­gic project that is be­lieved to de­velop the pub­lic trans­port sys­tem in the cen­ter of the Duhok city.

The ter­mi­nal con­sists of sev­eral ser­vice units such as 30 of­fices, 20 car shows, 2 cafe­te­rias and restaurants, a su­per­mar­ket, a 5-star ho­tel, a 10-floor hospi­tal with park­ing lots for taxis, cars and ve­hi­cles and two gas sta­tions.
