Er­bil hosts suc­cess­ful med­i­cal and den­tal ex­hi­bi­tion

More than 200 com­pa­nies from 19 coun­tries par­tic­i­pated in Medi­care Iraq – Er­bil, an ex­hi­bi­tion held from 26-28 May at the Er­bil In­ter­na­tional Fair Ground in Sami Ab­dul­rah­man Park. Gover­nor of Er­bil Nawzad Hadi, Min­is­ter of Health Rekawt Hama Rasheed, Govern­ment Spokesper­son Safeen Diza­yee, and other of­fi­cials cut the rib­bon to open the event.

Med­i­cal com­pa­nies with a wide range of spe­cial­iza­tions were show­cas­ing their prod­ucts and ser­vices at Medi­care Iraq – Er­bil, seek­ing en­try into the ex­pand­ing mar­ket of Kur­dis­tan and the rest of Iraq and to iden­tify re­tail­ers and lo- cal part­ners.

Dr Dara Rashid Mah­mud, Di­rec­tor Gen­eral of Health Af­fairs at the KRG Min­istry of Health, said, “The Min­istry of Health is keen to work closely with part­ners to fur­ther im­prove health care and its sup­port­ing ser­vices in the com­mu­nity, which would bet­ter en­able our cit­i­zens to ac­cess qual­ity health[care] within a safe en­vi­ron­ment.”

The ex­hi­bi­tion was or­ga­nized by IFP Iraq, whose gen­eral man­ager stated, “Iraq Medi­care – Er­bil has grown from a small ex­hi­bi­tion to a large fair backed by de­mand for health­care in­vest­ments… [bring­ing] in a large num­ber of big in­dus- try play­ers and health­care stake­hold­ers from all over the re­gion across a tai­lor­made plat­form to net­work and share ex­per­tise with in­dus­try pro­fes­sion­als; present their busi­ness to fu­ture part­ners from across the globe; and iden­tify the lat­est de­vel­op­ments and po­ten­tial prospects.” The fourth Iraqi Den­tal Re­union event was also run­ning con­cur­rently, where the pres­ence of in­ter­na­tional com­pa­nies and net­work­ing was en­riched by cour­ses in train­ing, best prac­tices, and tech­no­log­i­cal de­vel­op­ment in the field.
