Genocide in Shingal

The Kurdish Globe - - NEWS - By Hassan Shingali

ate for the children and the babies in the arms of their desperate mothers. They are the ones who die first. Hundreds of Yazidis have been captured by the terrorist monsters and taken to unknown areas, especially young women. Now, in Mosul, the ISIS tries to sell these women like slaves. Can any human being imagine the situation? Many people, around 15,000, could flee to Syria in the beginning. But now they try to come back to the Kurdistan Region via the border point of Peshabour. The Peshmerge and the YPG, the Kurdish armed forces in Syrian Kurduistan, did their best to rescue as many people as possible. The dire situation of the displaced people is hard to imagine. The numbers are huge. There are no suitable places for all. They stay in houses, schools, uncompleted buildings and villages. The process of rescuing the people from the Mountain is still undergoing and about 10000 individuals are still stranded there. They wait to come down. There are still two Yazidi complexes, Hatme and Kojo, under the control of the ISIS. The terrorists compel the Yazidis to convert to Islam otherwise they will be killed. The situation is horrible for young women. They are raped by the ISIS armed bandits and then killed. These days we see some hopeful sign of assistance reaching the trapped people. And the quick response of the President Obama to wage air srikes against the ISIS is considered by the Yazidis and the Kurds in general as the light at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully this bloody monster ISIS will be eradicated once for all at the hands of its oppressed.
