Corpses of chil­dren found in the grave

Ac­cord­ing to a state­ment by the head of the Com­mu­ni­ca­tion of the14th Branch of the Kur­dis­tan Demo­cratic Party KDP, the Kur­dish Pesh­marga Forces found a mass grave in one of the vil­lages of Zum­mar Sub-dis­trict.

Saeed Ma­muzini, head of the com­mu­ni­ca­tion of the KDP’s 14th branch in Mo­sul told a lo­cal Kur­dish news web­site, that Pesh­marga Forces found and un­cov­ered a mass grave be­tween Badriya and Barzanki vil­lages in Zum­mar, and found 35 corpses, among them chil­dren, youths and el­derly peo­ple, who have been put in this mass grave by Is­lamic State ter­ror­ists after be­ing shot dead in group.

“All the bod­ies have bul­lets in them and are Yazidi Kurds from Sin­jar and Zum­mar ar­eas,” Ma­muzini told the news web­site.

Fol­low­ing the in­va­sion of the Yazidi ar­eas of Sin­jar and Zum­mar, a large num­ber of th­ese re­li­gious mi­nori­ties have been killed by the ex­trem­ist Is­lamic groups for be­ing fol­low­ers of a re­li­gion other than Is­lam. The women, how­ever, have been cap­tured and sent to Mo­sul and other ar­eas un­der ISIS con­trol where they have been sold as slaves.
