Head of the Communication of the14th Branch of the Kurdistan Democratic Party KDP says that the Islamic State fighters have freed 40 prisoners in Babel Top area of Mosul.

“The only Kurdish prisoner among the group has been shot to death by the ISIS fighters,” said Saeed Mamuzini, head of the communication of the KDP’s 14th Branch.

Mamuzini says during the process of liberating the prisoners, the ISIS fighters realize that one of them called Ali Mahmoud Ali is a Kurd by checking his ID, they separate him from the group and shoot him dead at the marketplace of the neighborhood.

“Ali was an Iraqi Police officer from the Kiki Tribe who was around 40 years old and father to 4 children,” Mamuzini said.

Reports say that Ali was arrested by ISIS in Mosul when the city was controlled by the group in June, and he stayed in jail for three month till he was assassinated on September 10, 2014 in the same city.
