Kur­dis­tan Foot­ball Team left Kur­dis­tan in Septem­ber 29, 2005 to­ward Korean to play two friendly matches with two Korean clubs.

- Kur­dish leader, Sheikh Mahmud Hafid, re­turned to Kur­dis­tan in Septem­ber 30, 1922 and based in Su­liamnaiya city after liv­ing abroad for sev­eral years. -Pres­i­dent of Kur­dis­tan Re­gion, Ma­soud Barzani, re­ceived KRG prime Min­is­ter Barham Salih, and his deputy, Azad Bar­wari to form the sixth cab­i­net of the KRG in Septem­ber 30, 2009.

Oc­to­ber 1, 1998

The U.S. gov­ern­ment posted a $2.2 mil­lion re­ward for the cap­ture of Au­gustin Vasquez Men­doza. He is ac­cused of killing an un­der­cover U.S. agent dur­ing a drug pur­chase in 1994.
