The Kurdish Globe - - NEWS - Dr Fuad Hussein, Chief of Staff of the Kurdistan Region President Masoud Barzani

Since the beginning of the threats and attacks by terrorists of Islamic State (IS) on Kobani, the Presidency of Kurdistan Region announced its support for the city and the people of West of Kurdistan.

The Kurdish President Masoud Barzani has been eagerly following up the situation of Kobani and its displaced people. Barzani in a message released on September 19, 2014, asked the international community to protect the Kurdish city from the terrorist attacks.

After the recent events and after the increase of the terrorist attacks on Kobani, President of Kurdistan Region reiterates the same stance and asks the countries from the international coali- tion in the war against IS to cooperate with Kobani residents and fighters.

President Barzani also demands the international community to help the displaced who have taken refuge to the border areas in the north of the city.

In this predicament Kobani now is facing, the Presidency of the Kurdistan Region and its people emphasize their support and their alliance with their brothers and sisters in Kobani and Western Kurdistan as a whole.
