ISIS ca­su­al­ties ten times higher than YPG in Kobane

The press­room of the YPG an­nounced the num­ber of ca­su­al­ties dur­ing one month of clashes with the Is­lamic State in the Syr­ian Kur­dish city of Kobane.

Ac­cord­ing to the an­nounce­ment, since the beg­ging of the as­sault of ISIS on the town in Septem­ber 15, 2014, a to­tal of 133 YPG and YPJ (Woman Pesh­marga) and 9 Burkan Fu­rat fight­ers have been mar­tyred in the strug­gle against the ISIS.

Ac­cord­ing to the YPG state­ment, in the third week of the fight, Arin Mirkan, a YPJ fighter, det­o­nated her per­son­ally car­ried bombs among a groups of ISIS fight­ers and in the fourth week Ro­jda Axin a YPJ com­man­der has been killed.

Ac­cord­ing to the same press re­lease, dur­ing the same pe­riod, at least 1294 ISIS fight­ers have been killed dur­ing the fight with Kur­dish de­fend­ers and as a re­sult of air strikes by the coali­tion forces led by the United States.

Ac­cord­ing to a re­cent re­port from Kobane, a coali­tion war­plane mis­tak­enly bom­barded a group of YPG fight­ers and killed 6 in the evening of Oc­to­ber 16.
