A joint Kurdish exhibition arranged in Netherlands
Kurdish Culture Group in Mordaik-Netherlands arranged a joint exhibition of Kurdish-European painting on October 6, 2014 in Zivn Berkhn municipality gallery. 14 Kurdish and European painters took part in the exhibition, supervised by the cultural manager Schown Feld. The exhibition was inaugurated by the Kurdish poet Latif Omar who runs the organization. The exhibition is to continue until October 30.

Kori Altof from Netherlands, Omar Rasool from Kurdistan, Nell CKnok from France, Bijar Hamdi from Kurdistan, Toss Mikris from Netherlands, Ashty Shekhani from Kurdistan, Reet Kofots from Netherlands, Nelly Madlot from France, Tiny Kofots from Chili, Najat Chimany from Kurdistan, Alina Bastianson from Netherlands, Kory Romins from Netherlands, Siyan Ven Der Mada from Netherlands and Kory Tyasin from Netherlands.
49 various works of the painters showcased in the exhibition including ce- ramic, sculpture and painting. The artists are very experienced, especially in painting. In this artistic assembly, Kurdish artists along with other country’s artists have set the idea of an art to make cooperation and support an important principle for their future, especially the Kurdish artists whose main topics were about Shingal and Kobane.
Kurdish Cultural Assembly in Mordaik-Netherlands
Since the 80s, the Kurdish poet and writer Latif Omar has been conducting various activities in Moerdijk Municipality for Kurdish refugees and their assimilation with the Dutch culture, and bringing closer the Kurdish artists and intellectuals with other refugees in the Dutch society by conducting activities in the cities of Netherlands. After the Assembly was founded, it has its own annual plan and activities, including seminars, meetings, Newroz celebration, children activities and various anniversaries. Due to his good personal relations with Moerdijik Municipality, it was easier for Latif Omar to conduct these activities.
The annual exhibition in Zivn Birkhn municipality hall
An international exhibition for painting has been arranged annually for 8 years in row by the Kurdish Cultural Assembly in Moerdijk, in which 10 to 16 artists in various countries take part with their works. EU’s artists also take part in the activity. The importance of this exhibition is that other cultures including Dutch, French, Kurdish, Belgium and Eastern European are showcased, a cultural exchange occurs which has significance to Netherlands and the municipality of the region.
