Suspicious acts by Badr gunmen in Khurmatoo
Fighters of the Shiite Badr group, who have two bases inside the District of Khurmatoo in Kirkuk Province, started fire on two civilians, kill one and injure the other on the Khurmatoo-Tkrit main road.
According to a statement by Mala Karim Shkur, commander of the Hamrin forces of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan PUK, Badr fighters also shot the guards of a parliament member inside the town and injured two.
Shkur said that the civilians who were shot are Arab nationals living among Kurdish communities in the town.
Regarding the other event, Shkur explained that the gunmen start a discussion with the guards of Jasim Mo- hammed Jaafar, former minister of youths and sports and member of the current Iraqi parliament, and start fire on the guards and injure two of them.
Shkur also added that no one has been arrested in relation two these events.
The Shiite armed group have more than 100 members in Khurmatoo and have two bases inside the town, one near the Khurmatoo court, and the other in Hai Askari neighborhood.
After the liberation of Amerli and Yekinja sub districts of Khurmatoo District, in which the Badr fighters participated , they have created many problems in the town and especially with the Kurdish Peshmarga Forces and the civil Sunni Arabs.
