Sus­pi­cious acts by Badr gun­men in Khur­ma­too

Fight­ers of the Shi­ite Badr group, who have two bases inside the Dis­trict of Khur­ma­too in Kirkuk Prov­ince, started fire on two civil­ians, kill one and in­jure the other on the Khur­ma­too-Tkrit main road.

Ac­cord­ing to a state­ment by Mala Karim Shkur, com­man­der of the Ham­rin forces of the Pa­tri­otic Union of Kur­dis­tan PUK, Badr fight­ers also shot the guards of a par­lia­ment mem­ber inside the town and in­jured two.

Shkur said that the civil­ians who were shot are Arab na­tion­als liv­ing among Kur­dish com­mu­ni­ties in the town.

Re­gard­ing the other event, Shkur ex­plained that the gun­men start a dis­cus­sion with the guards of Jasim Mo- hammed Jaa­far, for­mer min­is­ter of youths and sports and mem­ber of the cur­rent Iraqi par­lia­ment, and start fire on the guards and in­jure two of them.

Shkur also added that no one has been ar­rested in relation two th­ese events.

The Shi­ite armed group have more than 100 mem­bers in Khur­ma­too and have two bases inside the town, one near the Khur­ma­too court, and the other in Hai Askari neigh­bor­hood.

After the lib­er­a­tion of Amerli and Yek­inja sub dis­tricts of Khur­ma­too Dis­trict, in which the Badr fight­ers par­tic­i­pated , they have cre­ated many prob­lems in the town and es­pe­cially with the Kur­dish Pesh­marga Forces and the civil Sunni Arabs.
