Court case filed against Maliki
Sources announced that a court case has been filed against Nouri al Maliki, ex Iraqi Prime Minister at the Iraqi Crime Court.
Local Iraqi media channels reported that Maliki has been accused of several crime cases. The text of the proceeding has been drafted by Judge Muneer Haddad, and has been published by a number of media channels.
According to the proceeding, Maliki and two more people have been accused of a number of crimes during Maliki's period in office as the prime minister.
In the past, a number of other court cases have been filed against Maliki for killing civilians in Falluja and Anbar, wasting public wealth, and other cases, but Maliki has not yet accepted to be present in front of the judge for any of these cases.
Maliki is leader of the Islamic Da'wa Party and has recently been given the post of vice president in the new Iraqi government.
