Court case filed against Ma­liki

Sources an­nounced that a court case has been filed against Nouri al Ma­liki, ex Iraqi Prime Min­is­ter at the Iraqi Crime Court.

Lo­cal Iraqi me­dia chan­nels re­ported that Ma­liki has been ac­cused of sev­eral crime cases. The text of the pro­ceed­ing has been drafted by Judge Muneer Had­dad, and has been pub­lished by a num­ber of me­dia chan­nels.

Ac­cord­ing to the pro­ceed­ing, Ma­liki and two more peo­ple have been ac­cused of a num­ber of crimes dur­ing Ma­liki's pe­riod in of­fice as the prime min­is­ter.

In the past, a num­ber of other court cases have been filed against Ma­liki for killing civil­ians in Fal­luja and An­bar, wast­ing pub­lic wealth, and other cases, but Ma­liki has not yet ac­cepted to be present in front of the judge for any of th­ese cases.

Ma­liki is leader of the Is­lamic Da'wa Party and has re­cently been given the post of vice pres­i­dent in the new Iraqi gov­ern­ment.
