ISIS arrests seven journalists in Mosul
The Islamic State (ISIS) fighters have started an operation in Mosul Province to arrest journalists, and have arrested 7 journalists to date.
A security source from Mosul have confirmed the news and stated that on Tuesday, October 28, 2014, ISIS militants broke into houses of journalists and reporters of various media organizations in different places within Mosul Province and have arrested 7 journalists.
The arrested journalists were Mah- moud Shakir, Abu Shahid, Yasir Hajj, Yasir Qais, Mohammed Younis, Isar Rafi and Ahmed Rafei. The source said the journalists have been transferred to an unknown location.
The source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said after this, the journalists in the province are now afraid and are seen less frequently outside fearing of being arrested or killed by ISIS militants.
