ISIS ar­rests seven jour­nal­ists in Mo­sul

The Is­lamic State (ISIS) fight­ers have started an op­er­a­tion in Mo­sul Prov­ince to ar­rest jour­nal­ists, and have ar­rested 7 jour­nal­ists to date.

A se­cu­rity source from Mo­sul have con­firmed the news and stated that on Tues­day, Oc­to­ber 28, 2014, ISIS mil­i­tants broke into houses of jour­nal­ists and re­porters of var­i­ous me­dia or­ga­ni­za­tions in dif­fer­ent places within Mo­sul Prov­ince and have ar­rested 7 jour­nal­ists.

The ar­rested jour­nal­ists were Mah- moud Shakir, Abu Shahid, Yasir Hajj, Yasir Qais, Mo­hammed You­nis, Isar Rafi and Ahmed Rafei. The source said the jour­nal­ists have been trans­ferred to an un­known lo­ca­tion.

The source, who spoke on the con­di­tion of anonymity, said after this, the jour­nal­ists in the prov­ince are now afraid and are seen less fre­quently out­side fear­ing of be­ing ar­rested or killed by ISIS mil­i­tants.
