Hu­man­i­tar­ian aid dis­trib­uted to 925 IDP fam­i­lies in Su­lai­ma­niah and Ba­herka

The of­fice of Barzani Char­ity Foun­da­tion in the city of Su­lai­ma­niah dis­trib­uted hu­man­i­tar­ian aid, con­sist­ing of food and drink­ing wa­ter to 200 Yazidii, Shabak and Arab IDP fam­i­lies in the re­gion of Qaradag and Zrg­wez.

At the same time the BCF, in co­op­er­a­tion with the World Food Pro­gramme (WFP), dis­trib­uted a car­ton of dry food in­clud­ing 3 bags of rice, flour and lentils and two car­tons of bread among 725 IDP fam­i­lies at Ba­harka camp. The BCF to­gether with WFP has pre­vi­ously in­tro­duced the sec­ond phase of aid, dis­tribut­ing kerosene cook stoves to the fam­i­lies in or­der for IDPs to pre­pare their own meals in com­bi­na­tion with the dry food distri­bu­tions.

In the first phase of the IDP cri­sis the BCF with WFP es­tab­lished com­mu­nal food kitchens that pro­vided two daily hot meals to over 151,000 in­di­vid­u­als.
